Our mission is to advance innovation in the cybersecurity solution space. In pursuit of this goal, our venture studio creates SaaS companies specifically designed to address real-world challenges faced by modern tech companies.

  • Christian Matthies

    Founder & Chief Product Officer

    Christian's 'why' is driven by a deep passion for the role of the CISO and rethinking how businesses can gain an edge over attackers.

    As a co-founder of CISOCON, he brings a wealth of hands-on expertise to the studio. Recognized by Google among the top 10 most impactful contributors to their security from 2006 onward, he embodies a rare blend of technical mastery and strategic foresight.

    He has a unique perspective on the problem and solution space after having been involved in 100+ cybersecurity due-diligences and serving as CISO for tech companies including Zalando, TeamViewer, Zooplus, CrossEngage, LIQID, Alasco and others.

  • Eric Berger

    Founder & Chef Operating Offcer

    Eric is a founding partner behind CISOCON and a seasoned entrepreneur. His journey in the digital world began as a software developer, evolving into co-founding the telecom provider freenet in the late 1990s.

    Since the inception of CISOCON, Eric has driven numerous projects for small and enterprise clients and his strategic leadership has been the driving force behind CISOCON’s expansion of services. His expertise in scaling operations has positioned the firm at the forefront of cybersecurity program design and execution.

  • Dr. Markus Wübben

    Founder & Chief Executive Officer

    Markus loves building companies. He co-founded and successfully exited the Customer Data & Prediction SaaS Platform CrossEngage.

    Prior to this, he was engaged at leading company builders such as Project A Ventures, EPIC Companies and Rocket Internet where he accompanied dozens of startups during the incubation and early-stage phases.

    Markus held many different roles from CTO, CPO and CMO for which the protection of customer data & business integrity has always been essential.
